20/02/2011 		This was the first time we had visited the Hole in the Wall.  It was Sunday evening and only two tables were occupied.  The service was provided by an unsmiling waitress who was unapologetic when told that our roast beef (slightly overcooked) was tepid.  The four of us shared two unexciting starters.  We didn't wait for pudding - and with a bill of over £100 this is a venue we won't be trying again and would not recommend.

Hole in the Wall

17/12/2010 		We have been  the Hole in the Wall many times in the past and decided to have our office Christmas lunch there today.  It was absolutely delicious.  The service was good.  Nothing could be faulted, especially as we were a table of 11.  It was the best office Christmas lunch ever

Casual relaxed dining

16/06/2008 		It would be hard not to be an improvement on the previous incarnation of the Hole in the Wall which had become a real dive but since its makeover the establishment has become one of the best places to eat and drink in Chiswick. The food is always fresh and imaginative, the staff often seem young but they are enthusiastic and friendly. The most attractive aspect is the garden which is the best outdoor place to eat in Chiswick in my view. Some pubs describe a paved area with some seats and parasols as a beer garden when there is barely a patch of green to be seen - not so the Hole in the Wall.
