27/09/2011 		I cannot praise Alison too highly and agree with all the great things that other clients and former clients have said on this website. She is terrific to work with, being warm, enthusiastic, attentive, diplomatic and fun whilst being a true professional in her meticulous approach to planning, costing and dealing with contractors. Meeting her for a short consultation gave me immediately the confidence in her to give her the job of a complete re-design of my garden. Just over one year on, I am still basking in the pleasure that the new design and planting has provided me. I feel that my life, my enjoyment of my home, my understanding of garden and plants and even the value of my property have been immeasurably enhanced by the  experience.

We love our garden now!

12/09/2011 		I saw Joanna's garden (see below) and although I'd never thought about having my garden designed I was so impressed by what Alison Wear had done that I couldn't wait to ask her to do our garden which was in a very sorry state, due to  neglect.  Alison was brilliant.   She instantly knew that 'Romantic Woodland' style would suit us and she was correct. She kept us informed of the cost all the way through and made sensible suggestions for cost savings, none of which we could bear to do.  Work went on through the snow of last winter and the plants went in during February and we have spent time in the garden every day since, just sitting and enjoying it and marvelling at its beauty and colour all year round.  We are not the easiest of clients and Alison coped very well with our constant questioning and was good natured throughout. Having our garden done by Alison was the best project we have ever embarked upon and Alison's excellent services are very good value indeed.

11/09/2011 		When I moved into my current house I was concerned about making a nice garden because the space is long and thin and dominated by a very large apple tree in the  middle meant it is quite shady and the existing lawn was in a very poor state.. Alison produced a design which eliminated grass altogether which is brilliant as she knows I have very little time to devote to upkeep. She also produced a design which makes the space look twice as wide and very green and leafy despite having no grass. I am thrilled with it.
 i have also seen a number of other London  gardens she has designed.They are all beautiful and have a wonderful design structure but it is not obvious so they dont look " designery " at all. They look natural and organic which is the look I like although she can also do formal and very structured where required.
She is immensely helpful and pleasant and flexible  to work with .

 I think many London gardens are quite dull as it is  assumed that  it is not worth using a designer for a small space but a relatively small space needs a  really good structure  to have impact. If you are in 2 minds have a look at a couple of Alison's gardens and I am sure you will then appreciate the subtle but powerful difference she can make.

09/09/2011 		Alison redesigned my backgarden which was a concrete mess.  She lisened to my ideas and ensured that they were incorporated into the final design.  The planting is fantastic and again she really listened to the effect I was after and the type of plants I liked.  Although only completed last year, the plants have really thrived and filled out the space and I am thrilled.  Would recommend Alison's services without any hesitation.

Amazing Service
30/03/2011 Alison did our front garden and we were so impressed with her work, we have asked her to do our back garden which has just been completed. Alison is a true professional. I have never found anyone so easy to work with as her. She is incredibly flexible regarding meeting up to discuss the project, weekends/early mornings are never a problem for her. She has great design capabilities as well as a vast knowledge of horticulture, which when combined makes a knock out garden. She always goes the extra mile. She designed an "aesthetic" play structure for my children and worked endlessly to source play equipment etc. A brilliant experience

Invaluable gardening service
16/05/2008 A few years ago we moved into a new home.  The house was in excellent condition, but the garden was a dull patch.  We asked Alison Wear to come and help.  She redesigned it, organised the work to be done, helped us to choose plants and shrubs which would provide life and colour all the year round.   She was a lovely person to work with, and has remained interested, and ready with advice whenever we need it.  The garden gives us great pleasure and is not over demanding

Anyone is welcome to come to see the magic that Alsion Wear worked in our garden. Phone 07788 442 674 for an appointment. She has done a great job planning the garden features, laying out the beds, lawn and terrace, and even planting the specimens herself - all this with due regard for the various site considerations and our desire for all year colour, and low maintenance. Alison is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, practical and thrifty. The result is spectacular, particularly, as is the case with most gardens, in spring and summer. Nevertheless there is something of interest happenning throughout the year. I must mention also that many of her plant combinations are highly original and quite ravishing. If you want someone who is energetic, passionate, humorous and responsible, then Alsion Wear Associates is where you should turn to. The process involved in domestic contructions inside or in the garden can be nightmare, but for us Alison made it a real pleasure. To cap it all, such pleasure was, if anything, enhanced by the bill for her services.

I moved into a two storey Victorian conv....
I moved into a two storey Victorian conversion in November, with a potentially wonderful 80 foot south facing garden, but with huge problems in terms of different levels, no existing shrubs etc. and decided to bite the bullet and call in Alison, who I had known as a neighbour in my previous house. She came over, talked through the problems, already had an idea of the sort of feel I wanted from my previous garden, and we talked colours, plants, patios and pergolas. I have very strong ideas and opinions, so she had to try and factor these in too!! She came up witha wonderful design which has resolved all the problems of the site, with two different levels, a large patio, pergola, and London stock brick walls, which has a real feel of Tuscany - and even a horseshoe shaped lawn, with a 'jungle' on one side with architectural plants, and an English country garden - roses, clematis, hollyhocks, peonies etc. on the other side. She even sugested we moved the rather ugly shed, which has now been transformed by painting and trellis work, with clematis armandii climbing the walls. I am knocked out, as are all the neighbours and friends - she has created a wonderful space, which will just get better and better as the plants mature. I can thoroughly recommend Alison - she is imaginative, creative, with a wonderful design sense, supplemented by her in depth knowlege of plants. I can't wait for the summer!! Deirdre Spencer
