WHAT A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH SOMEONE WHO LOVES THEIR JOB AND CARES ABOUT THE STANDARD OF THEIR WORK. With it becoming increasingly more difficult to find skilled tradesmen, who can carry out work for you when required, certain individuals or companies are too quick to charge you an extortionate price and perform the work to the minimum standard so they can move on as quickly as possible to the next job - BUT NOT KARL!!! - WHAT A FIND! We are extremely grateful to Karl for doing a fantastic job on our garden. It was not an easy job anyway, but made far more difficult having to do the work during the worst heat wave ever! During all the work, Karl kept our property in the maximum possible dirt-free condition and always left it clean and tidy at the end of each day. We do not have rear or side access to the garden, so all the rubbish and soil removed to set the finished height, and materials needed to conduct the work, had to be transferred through the flat in bags or by hand. Karl is a perfectionist and has shown a high standard of garden design that demonstrated years of experience in the industry, as well as great knowledge and skills that are required. We have found him to be a very honest and hard working person indeed, and what was also very important to us, flexible and responsive to our needs and ideas. What was originally a 40ft long field, is now a beautiful and practically designed garden, that incorporates three levels. The garden has three patio areas all completed with Indian Sand Stone. Two are brick edged and one is walled using the same age of bricks as the house. The rest of the garden is a mix between lawn and gravelled areas with a planting bed to one side. We even have a bit of history in our garden, with a piece of stone from the V & A Museum, forming a step! We received both quantity & quality for our money - A rarity these days! Not only has he transformed my garden, but has created an extra living space to my one bedroom flat. It is just such a shame that I have to sell it, but the cost of the work is easily covered by the increase in value to what our property is now worth. It was a great pleasure to have met him and we will always use him in any forthcoming projects.
