29/08/2011 		Des and his plumber Les have just done a great job on some emergency repair work on our bathroom. I am just so glad to have 'discovered' them, I have lots of other building work that needs doing but couldn't face the commission of builders that would inevitably - from past experiences - be problematic and end up a nightmarish experience. After this job I have no qualms about the service Des and his team can provide and I am genuinely excited about planning future home improvement. It is very refreshing to meet someone like Des who has a real can-do attitude and a great work ethic - nothing is unattainable and he is extremely reasonable on price. A very helpful, lovely fella who certainly knows his stuff.

He is a great communicator, charges fairly, is flexible, not fazed by the problems that old buildings throw up, punctual and hardworking. His team are great and cheerfully get on with physical hard work as well as demonstrating excellent technical proficiency. Ours was a modest project, but it's clear that Des and team could cope with bigger works. We will definitely be calling in his services for our next venture.

27/05/2011 		Its not usual to chose a builder because he is a fellow cyclist,but that is how it started ;that and a good review on this site. We had a room extension,new kitchen and you can imagine the number of unforseen events that can occur with these old buildings. Des quoted fairly, worked on time and has a team that will arrive promply and enjoy their work.
Very happy to work with him again .

He is friendly, unflappable (even when I changed my mind about something...sorry Des...) and professional, and his work is superb (and much admired by my friends and neighbours). He also has great ideas - he suggested that we re-use some York stone paving from the front of my house rather than buy new, saving me a lot of money and hassle in the process. I have no hesitation in recommending Des and his team - look no further than this!

On time and to budget building services

21/02/2010 		Des brought a great team of skilled workers with him and organised both them, us and the building regulations dept from Hounslow, to remove and redecorate an internal load bearing wall dividing our living room.$0$0Why did we like them? Des's team took care over what they did, suggesting ideas along the way that were very helpful.  They tidied up after each day and were great with our 4 & 6 year olds, who, naturally were facscinated in all the goings on.$0$0This is the second piece of work Des has done for us and on both occasions he did what he said he would do and to a high standard. We strongly recommend him

28/03/2009 		Des Bowe and his team - Les, James, Terry, and Martin - recently installed a second bathroom in my property.  His quotation was precise and competitive, his promises were kept 100%, his advice were invaluable, his team's work was totally professional, efficient, and of the highest standard - I should know since I know I'm fussy - and I can honest say I've had the MOST satisfactory work carried out in my 30 years of living in various parts of London.  My family has two properties in E2 and E3 - if only Des covered those area too!  If you have any work you want done on your property contact Des - it will save you time, money and hassle - he's the best.

I feel very grateful we found him; not only did he rescue us but he was honorable, reliable, cheerful, reasonable and straight up. Des is a treasure, and we have just hired him again for a small job which of course he treated with as much care and attention as our big mess last year. Just hearing Des on the phone lowers the blood pressure - you know all will be well.

08/07/2008 		Des has just finished some work in my flat that started off as knocking part of an interior wall down and turned into the repair of some fairly major structural problems. Des and his team were reliable and honest throughout, he always arrived when he said he would, worked hard to complete things when he said he would, kept me informed, left the flat clean and tidy at all times and, most importantly; the quality of his work was outstanding. Des and the team did little extra jobs that meant they always exceeded my expectations and I was always pleasantly suprised when I called in to see how things were going. I also thought his prices were very fair and reasonable. He and the team were a joy to have around and to entrust my home to.
In short; I can't recommend Des highly enough - I cannot imagine that it would be possible to find a better builder.

01/02/2006 Des is very busy, but he is worth waiting for! Not only is he a good builder but he is also a pleasure to be around. We had a baby shortly after he started working on our house but I hardly noticed he was there. He is trustworthy, reliable and honest. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again!

Des took on a number of jobs in 5 differ....
04/12/2005 Des retiled our front path, build a new front wall and installed new railings and a gate, all to a very good standard, with the site kept clean and tidy, and with minimal disruption for us.  He also built a new internal stud wall and decorated two rooms.  As always he did what he said he would do, was always cheerful and helpful, an dhis prices were fair.  We really value his work.

29/03/2005 Thanks to w4.com I found Des Bowe AN ABSOUTLE GEM .I CANNOT RECOMMEND DES HIGHLY ENOUGH. Des was TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL RELAIBLE AND MULTI-SKILLED. I am extemely satisified with the 2 jobs Des had done for me, right from the get go Des was 100% TRUSTWORTHY AND HONEST with the CHEAPEST QUOTE I got in West London for a bathroom renovation that some other builder completely messed up. showing up on time and getting the job done quickly and with minimum mess to my home explaining the work he was doing as he worked. Des did the job at the agreed price quotation despite involving more work than originally thought!. I completely endorse the positive things that have been said about Des Bowe he a pleasure to work with. Des is OBLIGING VERSATILE and COMPETANT you need look no further for any building needs!
