Loft Conversion

16/05/2012 		We have recently had this loft project completed and being older house owners the way that we were handled on a day to day basis by Stacys craftsmen was an tissue for us.We have to report that we were treated with respect and have nothing to complain about.
The quality of workmanship was very good and it was possible to discuss small changes to the project on a daily basis at each stage,this was  important to us as we had a clear vision of the end result and we were not dissappointed.This flexibilty enabled us to make small but significant changes throughout the construction process.
Our house now looks and operates as a three storey original house and does not have the feeling of an add on second floor.Thanks to Stacy and his staff at More Tnan Lofts.

Loft Extension

08/12/2011 		We are very pleased with our loft conversion, and bathrooom refurb, both in terms of the high quality of the work and the relatively stress free process. Stacy and his team were great to deal with. We were well informed about all aspects of the job and any issues that arose were dealt with promptly, for example, there was some accidental damage made to the bath, once highlighted, it was replaced immediately. The finish of the work and attention to detail is excellent. The doors, staircase and windows, for example, perfectly match the existing period features of the property. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend More than Lofts.

Side return extension

24/11/2011 		We have had our kitchen extended into the side return by Stacy and his team and are delighted with the end result. Their work is of a very high quality and every member of the team was punctual, professional and polite. They worked within the agreed timescale and were unbelievably patient with me changing my mind on a few occasions!! As we decided not to move out while we had the work done, and have 2 small children, I was very impressed with the level to which they tidied up after themselves and helped improvise a temporary kitchen for me whilst we were without. These considerations, as well as the very high quality of the finished product are why I would not hesitate to recommend them. We also have had a few minor snagging issues that are inevitable after a build, and they have all been dealt with quickly, the after care is exceptional.

Great job

16/10/2011 		The work we required was complete redecoration of our house and removal of a partition wall in the loft. Stacy and his team did a great job. Importantly - on time and on budget. We had a tight timeline for moving in. The team managed to finish the work, including all the extras we kept throwing into the mix. The team were really nice guys (with a special mention to Ken!), experienced, and accommodating. Another advantage of More Than Lofts is that they were able to do and coordinate all the work: from decorating, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and even carpeting. What also impressed us was the reliability - they came back to finish off 2 bits of non-essential work as promised.

Dormer Loft Conversion

GOOD JOB - DONE WELL

16/06/2011 		Building is never an exact science so you need someone who understands and appreciates the complexities that crop up in moving a project from drawings to reality.  More than Lofts more than fulfilled their promise to complete to my satisfaction - and on budget - a complex renovation and rebuild.  Their team were excellent - builders, carpenters, plasterers and electricians all knew their stuff and were considerate of our requirements.  I would have no hesitation in recommending them as a professional, honest and competent organisation.  Many thanks

loft conversion/extra bathroom

25/05/2011 		Stacy and his team did my loft conversion and added an extra bathroom. I was very satisfied with the finished job indeed ... I love it, it's really beautiful.
He was a few weeks late ... but only because it was unforseen that the building works would cause the ancient ceilings in the rooms below to crack, and I decided I wanted them pulled down and replaced, which had a knock on effect.  I'd say it went a month over, but not through any fault of More Than Lofts really...just one of those things.
He came in according to budget, and paid up promptly for a few things that went wrong (cracked tiles in the shower, a damaged shower tray and scratched flooring were immediately replaced without argument.
I used his architect for the original plans, but changed a few things, like the type of windows we wanted installed, the positioning of the bathroom suite etc.
It was all very straightforward, and since we didn't move out, I was always on hand to answer any queries about things like the placing of plug sockets, lighting, and installing extras I decided halfway through that I wanted, like tongue and groove in the bathroom. 
The team were lovely, very professional and tidy and really nice to have around. I was almost sorry to see them go!
I can't recommend More Than Lofts highly enough ...

Loft Conversion and Kitchen Extension

12/05/2011 		Having decided to undertake a loft conversion, a kitchen extension, the installation of central heating and complete redecoration of the house we needed to find a builder who could carry out the work.  We obtained quotes from various companies one of which was More Than Lofts who were doing a loft conversion on a neighbouring property.  Although the quotes for price and timescale were much the same what struck me about Stacy from More Than Lofts was his enthusiasm for the job, the fact that all the work (apart from the architectural drawings) would be done by company employees not sub-contracted, and having seen his company in action, we decided to use them.   From the first day until the last we were impressed with the professionalism of Kosta and his team in doing the loft conversion, Dominic and his team with the kitchen extension, Pete with the plumbing, Clive with the electrical work, Danny with the plastering, Billy with the kitchen fitting and Ken with the decorating.  Work was started on time every day and any mess was cleared at the end of the day, indeed some of our neighbours said how impressed they were with the manner and behaviour of the men.    Obviously with a job of this size problems were bound to occur but a solution would always be found, Stacy especially was tenacious with one particular problem but he refused to be beaten and a solution was found.  Minor changes were also made to the plans as the work progressed but these were always clearly costed and agreed before being implemented and in the end the whole job was completed on time and to budget.   The standard of the work is first class, snagging was dealt with promptly and Stacy even provided the services of a handyman to install curtain rails, picture hooks and to deal with a myriad of other minor requirements.   We would like to thank everyone involved with the work and have absolutely no hesitation in using More Than Lofts in the future and would happily recommend them to others.

Loft Conversion + Minor Refurbisment

28/03/2011 		We employed the services of More Than Lofts to undertake a loft conversion at our property. We heard about them through the W4 website and also by some friends of ours who had previously used them in their property.Stacy visited our property to discuss the proposed works and we were struck by the level of detail and product knowledge that he provided to us. We received the quotation which again was clearly well written and answered many of the questions we had regarding materials used and what was/not included in the build. We also asked several other companies to quote for the works and once we had all of the quotes together we could clearly compare each quote respectively. On reflection More Than Lofts were not the cheapest company but when you compared insurance held, items included and the level of detail we decided to approve them to carry out our works. They commissioned drawings for our loft conversion by there in house architectural draughtsman which were then submitted to Hounslow council for a Certificate of lawfulness. Just as Stacy explained the council visited our property after four weeks and approved the design that had been submitted. Once the loft had been approved and a date had been set to start that was when we saw how Stacy managed his company. The 1st day the scaffold arrived and proceeded to erect the tubing, they were conscious of our neighbours and also our two small children. They laid sheets through our property and when they were finished they tidied up any mess that they had created. In the afternoon Ben our site foreman arrived to measure up for the steel beams in the loft. The next day at the exact time as we were told, the steels and timber arrived on a huge crane lorry. They proceeded to lift all of the materials up onto the scaffold and into our loft area. Once this was done the loft building could get under way. Every day Ben and his men turned up on time in the morning and worked throughout the day only stopping for lunch and the odd cup of tea. (Chocolate Hobnobs a must) We had weekly visits by Stacy, or Tom to make sure that the work was being carried out to there’s and our satisfaction. We also had regular emails during the works supplying us with costs for all the additional jobs that we kept adding to their work load. In the end we had them tiling our existing bathroom, laying wood floors throughout the ground floor, built in wardrobes and many other smaller tasks. For all of the additional works we were provided with clear costs so that we could a check of how much we were spending. The overall result is a top notch finish carried out to a very high standard. We were very happy having all of the team including Pete the plumber, Danny the plaster, Clive the electrician plus countless more. When we manage to save enough money we will be asking Stacy to carry out our planned kitchen extension. Again would just like to add, delighted with the whole process and we cannot thank you enough.

More than lofts - general buildng work

21/01/2010 		We bought our new house in November 2009, and wanted to create 2 new bathrooms, build an additional room, and rework the layout of the house - all in time for Christmas, and with a newborn to take care of too!.
 
Stacy and the team impressed me in their approach from the outset as they rely very heavily on thier reputation when bidding for new work, which gives you comfort that they have an incentive to do the work to your satisfaction. They gave an upfront cost where they could, and were very creative and helpful with design suggestions.

More than lofts has a great approach in that they employ 30+ builders, plumbers, carpenters, electricians and plasterers so every unexpected problem you come across they have the experience and manpower to deal with it.

We ended up extending the work, as it was easy to add work to our original scope, but Stacy and the team still got us in our new home in the right timescales, and looking back the amount of work done in 7 weeks was phenomenal, the quality and finish is top notch, and the whole project feels like great value.

Tom, our project manager and all the team epitomised the attitude you want from someone spending every day in your house - friendly, polite, informative, and ready to give advice when necessary. All round, I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend them.

More Than Lofts - Loft Conversion

20/05/2009 		In June of 2008 my wife and I recognised that we needed to extend our 3-bedroom house to accommodate our second daughter and the overseas visitors that that would bring. Our 3-bedroom end of terrace house provided a logical extension for a loft conversion with a rear dormer under building regulations and then applying for retrospective planning permission by staying within the 40m3 limit.

My wife and I recognised that not only would we have to look towards the quality and price of the contractor, but that we would also have to pay close attention to the actual building practices on a day-to-day basis of the onsite team. This would be a very sensitive area as my wife, who would be in the latter stages of pregnancy and having to control a 15 month old during the building work, would bear the brunt of the disturbance.

I am delighted to say that the onsite team delivered not only quality workmanship but were also considerate and friendly to my wife and neighbours. So much so that my 15-month daughter used to ask for Ben, Lee and Ian by name every time they came down to make a cup of tea. Henry the vacuum cleaner became the highlight of the day as the team cleaned up before heading home.

The critical success factor for the project was the timescales for delivery. My wife and I had left things a bit late but Stacy arranged things so that we could have a team onsite in late July and completed by mid-September. This was crucial with the arrival of our second daughter at the end September. The team achieved this and we were delighted that we had a week to settle in before the arrival of Amy.

•    Would I contract them again? Yes

•    Can I trust them to look after my house and possessions i.e go away while they work? Absolutely

•    Do they offer good value for money? Yes, we did a fair amount of pricing and found this to be the case.

11/02/2009 		I had a major renovation job to do on my house on the W4/W12 borders in between lets.  In this situation time is money and Stacey worked all hours to get the job done to a high spec.  This involved completely rebuilding a conservatory, replacing a shower room with a new suite and floor, splitting my loft room into two including new Velux windows and radiator, mending the roof and countless other jobs.  Nothing was too much trouble.  His team worked tirelessly and they cleaned up after the job too.  I recommend More Than Lofts highly.  They are dependable and work to a high standard.  Stacey's advice was excellent and even when I moved a wall light four times he kept his cool!!  I live in the country and so could not be there to oversee the job, but with More Than Lofts I had piece of mind as Stacey was on hand.

This time around More than fitted a new Kitchen and applinces. As always the work is top-noch and every effott is made to make you happy with ajustments that may be needed that don't fit the orignal plan.

30/07/2008 		Stacey is a very likeable, genuinely hard working guy with a good and experienced team behind him. He has refurbished 2 bathrooms and several other rooms in our house and his finish in particular is to be commended. His attention to detail is first rate and he had some very helpful and creative solutions to our well intended but pretty amateur design and build ideas. The best thing I can say about him and his team is that I dont want to recommend them too highly, as I'd like them to be available when we need them again.

More Than Lofts

03/06/2008 		Staceys team converted our loft into a bedroom with ensuite shower room with a study at the front of the house. We had a weekly catch up to make sure evrything was going to schedule and they always spoke to us if there was a design decision to be made.  The conversion looks fabulous and they completed on time.

They also worked on the back of our previous house to create an opening for our sliding doors. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. Will be looking to use them again when we move!
