I have been using the American Dry Cleaning Company to look after my families clothes for 18 months, and I had been happy with the service provided. The staff were helpful, and there were few problems, until a pair of white curtains were returned, grey, shrunk, dirtier than before cleaning, and the fabric damaged beyond recognition. They were returned for re-cleaning, but no improvement. I asked that I be refunded the replacement value, and the £105 dry cleaning cost.$0For 2 months I was ignored by the head office, and after constant phone calls, I eventually made contact,when I was argued with, and told my curtains were not damaged any more. I was contradicted at every turn, and they simply did not want to hear what I had to say. Only the staff in the branch agreed that my curtains were ruined.$0$0Accidents and mistakes can happen with any service, but I would expect a far better response to my problem than the one I received. I am still corresponding with this company, in an attempt to recover my costs, but others need to know how poor the follow up has been.$0$0 Please use another dry cleaners for curtain cleaning- others I have used locally have corrected mistakes without complaint, and refunded where they were unable to do so. This has not been the case with the American Dry Cleaning Company.$0
