Long-established Indian restaurant
Always a real pleasure

I've been going to the Annapurna ever since I moved into Chiswick in 1977 and it has never disappointed.  It has had it's share of décor make-overs and stays up to date but what is such a joy is that the menu is pretty much the same as it was in 77. Fancy schmancy fusion dishes can be found elsewhere but at the Annapurna you can still get the 'traditional' bhajis, bunas, biryanis, vindaloos, dhansaks, etc that are vanishing rapidly in many other establishments.  One welcome addition has been the inclusion of thalli dishes and I look forward to dhosas appearing one day.  I fervently hope the Annapurna continues doing exactly what it does so well forever.

Annapurna have been in business for over forty years and the family's decades of experience shows - the food is fantastic, the menu extensive and the service is friendly and attentive, without being intrusive.  I really hope family run restaurants like this continue to prosper on Chiswick High Road and that they are not overwhelmed by chains.  Annapurna is everything the chain are not: full of character, warmth and attention to detail.  Plus the Prawn Bhuna was the best I've ever had!

Recently having returned from working overseas happy to enjoy another great curry at Annapurna. As usual greeted warmly by the brothers, left it up to them to choose, I simply asked for a wet, medium spiced chicken curry, and they delivered. Excellent. Always is, and I suspect whilst this remains a family business it will remain an excellent restaurant.

Dinner for three last evening, well up to the high standard we expect there with the bonus of a warm personal welcome appreciated by regular clients (and, I suspect by irregulars too). With all the new fancy chain restaurants jostling each other in Chiswick these days it's important to have a great family-run place like this in the mix. Long may it thrive.

I've eaten here on a couple of occasions. The first time, I thought it was a passable curry - quite generic, nothing stand out.$0$0$0$0The second visit reinforced this view and the 2 mates I was with agreed that there's nothing to compel you to return - sauces are bland, dishes are devoid of any real spice / flavour.$0

We went to Annapurna Restaurant for my friend’s birthday on a Saturday evening. The Restaurant was immaculate with a good ambiance and deco. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. The food was truly delicious and prepared to a high standard. They made us feel like royalties. We have never had such a wonderful eating experience in an Indian restaurant like this one! Truly memorable! I surely will recommend everyone to dine at Annapurna Restaurant and will rate it 5 stars for excellent service and delicious food.

I visit my sister, who lives in Chiswick quite frequently for the weekend and as soon as I get off the train at Paddington, I just can't wait to get to Annapurna for a wonderful Indian meal!

The service is personal, friendly and efficient and we are always warmly greeted by the owner or one of his four sons.  The food is sumptuous, a real treat and a congenial atmosphere is created by other diners also having a good time.

My weekend with my sister is always filled with so much to do and see - art exhibitions, theatre and cinema but it's the dining experience at Annapurna which is the number one treat of the weekend.
